About the Journal

Investigación en Discapacidad is edited since 2012 by the National Institute of Rehabilitation Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra in Mexico City. This is a diamond open access journal with no fees for either submission, processing or publication.

The journal adheres to the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Both print (ISSN 2007-6452) and online (eISSN 2992-779X) versions of the journal are available up to 2025. From 2026 on, the journal has switched to a full electronic format.

Investigación en Discapacidad has published three regular issues and one supplemental issue per year from its inception to 2025, with 2012 (two issues) and 2014 (four issues) as the only exceptions.
