Call for Social Media Editor
Investigación en Discapacidad, a leading peer-reviewed journal in disability research, seeks a dynamic and experienced Social Media Editor to join our editorial team.
Role Description
The Social Media Editor will be responsible for developing and implementing the journal's social media strategy to increase its visibility, engagement, and impact within the scientific community and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the journal's presence on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Create and curate engaging content to highlight published articles, upcoming issues, and relevant news
- Collaborate with authors to develop multimedia summaries of their research
- Monitor social media metrics and prepare regular performance reports
- Engage with the disability research community online
- Stay updated on social media trends and best practices in scientific communication
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Disability Studies, Social Sciences, Communications)
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably in academic or scientific contexts
- Strong understanding of disability research and related fields
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English
- Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven decision making
- Knowledge of ethical considerations in disability representation and communication
The position is offered for two years and may be renewed.
