Call for Peer Reviewers
The editorial board of Investigación en Discapacidad, the official journal of the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación "Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra", invites qualified professionals and academics to join our pool of peer reviewers.
Investigación en Discapacidad is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes studies related to disability across the spectrum of medical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative sciences. We are committed to advancing high-quality, evidence-based knowledge to improve the understanding and management of disability in all its forms.
Role of Peer Reviewers
Peer reviewers are essential to maintaining the scientific integrity, quality, and relevance of the journal. Reviewers are entrusted with:

Critically evaluating the scientific rigor, originality, and relevance of submitted manuscripts.

Providing constructive feedback to authors to enhance the clarity, quality, and impact of their work.

Maintaining confidentiality throughout the review process and disclosing any conflicts of interest.

Upholding ethical standards, including identification of possible research misconduct or ethical concerns.
Reviewers are expected to complete reviews within 4 weeks of receiving a manuscript. Formal acknowledgment of contributions will be provided annually.

We welcome applications from professionals and researchers with expertise in areas directly or indirectly related to disability, including but not limited to:

Orthopedics and musculoskeletal science

Pediatrics and developmental disorders

Psychiatry and psychology

Audiology and speech-language pathology

Occupational and physical therapy

Nursing and caregiving sciences

Public health, social medicine, and epidemiology

Disability ethics, health policy, and human rights

Biomedical engineering and assistive technologies

Education and communication sciences related to disability
Candidates should have at least a master’s degree in a relevant field (PhD, MD, or equivalent preferred), a track record of academic publications, and fluency in English and/or Spanish.
